Sam holds a Licentiate qualification in teaching from the Royal Academy of Music. He has been the Head of Woodwind at Charterhouse School since 2019 and additionally teaches within the music faculty of Canterbury Christ Church University and at Whitgift School, Croydon. Previous teaching positions include visiting saxophone tutor at the University of Hull.
